If there’s one question I get asked all the time, it’s this one: How can I start an Internet Marketing campaign with no money at all?! Is this even possible? The answer is yes!

In this world we always have to pay for a thing. It’s a law of physics, an object that is at rest stays at rest till something acts upon it. Without paying, things don’t get done.

BUT! There are two types of “paying” in our world. You can pay with money, the old fashioned way; or you can pay with time. Specifically, your time.

So if you don’t have money to start an Internet Marketing campaign, you can actually get one going by simply investing your time. In this article I’ll tell you how.

First off, we have to look at Internet Marketing slightly different if you have no money for a budget of any kind. I will assume that you already have built a web site of some sort, and it is already online. I will also assume that you have a product to sell, or are going to sell someone elses product as an Affiliate marketer. Therefore we don’t have to spend any money on that.

If you don’t then you can’t hire someone to build your site or product because there is no money available. You will have to learn to build a web site yourself. Search at Google and you will find free tutorials that will teach you everything you need.

No, we are not focusing on that, but rather on Internet Marketing.

Since you have no budget, the first thing to do is SEO and SEM marketing. These stand for, of course, search engine optimization and search engine marketing.

The trick here is to find keyword niches that no one else is ranking high under. You can learn this for free by first using the free Google Keyword Tool (search for it at Google) to build a list of keywords that relates to your web site or product.

Next install any of the number of free firefox SEO toolbars that modifies Google results pages to show you the PageRank of each site listed and the number of Links each of those sites has.

Next, with the free SEO toolbar installed, type in one of your keywords that you made in your list, type it into Google and look through the results. Are the sites listed there HIGH pageranked? Or are the low pageranked? If all the main sites in the top ten results have low page rank (like 2-3) and low link count (like 10 or less) then chances are you can rank your site above them rather easily using simple article marketing techniques.

Next, learn article marketing. Write articles and in the signature box at the end, put 2 links to your site, using the anchor text that is the exact keyword you researched earlier. Submit these articles to all the major free article directories and within a few weeks you should be ranking well under those keywords which will begin to bring steady traffic to your site.

With this traffic you will hopefully begin to make sales if your site is any good at all. Take ALL the money you make from those early sales, and reinvest in into more traditional paid Internet Marketing things like Google Adwords and other forms of advertising.

Then, just roll forward!

Avoid These Affiliate Marketing Mistakes !
By Ian Williamson

Avoiding some of the common mistakes made by Affiliate marketers should quickly and easily improve your chances of making Affiliate sales. Here are five of the top mistakes:

Not researching the Affiliate program before your start promoting it – it really is amazing just how many Affiliates grab the first Affiliate program that comes along or signup simply because it has a high commission rate or promote it because every other marketer is also promoting it. If the program does not complement the overall theme of your site, you may find it difficult to convince your subscribers to purchase the product if it does not have anything to do with the area you are targeting.

Not using your signature file correctly – many Affiliates will add a signature file to all of their out-going email messages and message board posts that is totally inappropriate. Twenty lines of text, full of Affiliate links, is not considered a signature file – it’s usually considered ’spam.’ Try keeping your signature file under five lines with an attention grabbing or intriguing first line.

Not writing your own ad copy – there’s nothing worse than seeing the same advert all over the Net or in an email message from ten different marketers. How much perceived value will your message have when it arrives and the reader is seeing it for the tenth time? Take the time to tweak the ad to suit your target area and readership before sending it out. Personalize it; make the ad your own.

Not paying for your own domain name and Hosting account – yuk, nobody wants to visit a site that looks like it is on a free host with a free email address. It’s very unprofessional and suggests to your subscribers that you haven’t made any money on-line because you don’t know what you’re doing and are too stingy to spend any money on setting up your business properly. .95 a year for a domain name at GoDaddy and around per month for a small Hosting account won’t break the bank; it may just help to add to the bank in the long run.

Not capturing your leads before you send them through to the Affiliate product site – if you can actually get someone to click on one of your Affiliate links and they leave the product site without purchasing, what have you gained? Nothing! Except for the expense and/or time to get that one click-through in the first place. Set up a squeeze page so you can capture your lead’s email address before you send them onto the product site. That way, if they don’t buy, you can follow up with them later and try again (and again and again and again). Priceless!

Ways for Internet Marketing on a Low Budget

Ways for Internet Marketing on a Low Budget
By Akash Deep

Recently I was contacted by a client who was frustrated that her marketing efforts were not producing results like she expected. In an attempt to address her concerns, I realized how many other professionals are in the same boat. What follows is an open letter to professionals everywhere who are struggling to attract new clients and make money online.

Dear Entrepreneur and Professional:

First, let’s address the issue of finances. I understand fully what it is like to invest in your own business, work hard, and see little income. Sometimes it seems as if you work for pleasure, and indeed there is much pleasure involved. It’s not unusual for entrepreneurs to be passionate about their business and services and many would do what they love for free. For more details visit to www.achieving-liftoffs.com .But it can’t work that way, and you must see the money or your business will perish. Finally, after a couple of years of trickle income, we are now seeing results in our own online business, and are making a comfortable living solely from information and services sold on the Internet.

It takes time. And it involves having lots of digital information products people can buy and download instantly. In order to sell them, you have to have a powerful web presence and be easily findable to the millions of people who Google for solutions to their problems.

People can’t find you with just a web site. You need a blog, and you need to write on it frequently – daily is best; two to three times per week is good. An electronic newsletter, or ezine, is also a great marketing tool, and it needs to be posted on the Web, or on your blog.

You need to write and submit articles to article directories so people can find you better. Your articles need to include contact information and links back to your website and products.

You need the infrastructure in place so you can follow up with automated email messages to people who contact you requesting information, purchase your products and register for your events. For more information logon to www.website-conversion-mastery.com
It’s a good idea to do teleclasses, some for free, so you build your list, connect with people and get them into your higher priced seminars.

There are other business models, and I am most familiar with what I have done myself, and helped other entrepreneurs to do.

When Denise and I joined Tom Antion’s Mentee Program, it was a considerable financial commitment. We send him a check every month out of our earnings, which are steadily increasing thanks to his tutelage. It’s worth it to learn and model what works from one who has been there and is a multi-millionaire.

As the saying goes, you can’t get to Carnegie Hall without lots of practice, and that takes an investment of time, patience and money.

There are no easy solutions. Continue doing what works and invest in those areas of your business that provide the biggest payoff. Get training. Invest in the infrastructure and tools that allow you to save time and market effortlessly. Avoid overwhelm by implementing tools slowly, getting used to one and observing your results before going to the next step. Building a business on the Internet is not about getting rich quick. It’s about hard work and persistent effort that will pay off in the long run.

One of the great benefits to Internet Marketing is that you have a lot of free resources to use. Two of those are Squidoo and Blogspot which are probably the two best free blogging resources we can use. Each of them have great benefits and a few disadvantages which I will go over here.

Starting with Squidoo, this site provides a lot of extras that you can use to monitize your site. They are well liked by Google and can rank well if you use good search engine optimization. There are modules that you use to add content to your site, such as for writing, Amazon, Ebay, guest books and many more.

On the negative side are all the ads that can distract your visitors from what you may be promoting. But, when someone clicks these adds Squidoo shares the revenue with you. This way you can make some extra income on top of what you may be selling.

Blogspot also provides extra content you can use on their blogs. They are owned by Google and can also rank well, but I have found that squidoo does better for me. You can add an opt in form so your visitors can sign up for your email campaign where Squidoo does not allow this, although by way of Clearspring.com you can sneak in a form on Squidoo.

Blogspot has no advertising on their site so you will get no distractions and you can add you own ads or use their monitization features. Squidoo has a few templates you can use for your blog but with Blogspot you have hundreds of choices between their site and all the ones created by individuals that you can use.

Overall both of these sites provide a great benefit to internet marketers in that they are free, can rank well on Google and are easy to use. They both allow you to make unlimited numbers of blogs which is great. Try them both and take advantage of their benefits and you will be happy with them.

Make Money Online With Affiliate Marketing

Despite many industries laying off thousands of workers or even outright shutting their doors in today’s tough economic climate, there is one industry that is thriving and helping thousands of regular people make money. Some hard workers are even replacing the income they earned at their regular jobs, allowing them to walk away from the 9-5 work day for good and work from home on a full-time basis.

What is this industry? Affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing programs are simple by nature: They work by rewarding
marketers for promoting products online. The Affiliates are then compensated on a commission basis. Basically, Affiliates get paid each time they refer new customers to the website of the company they are promoting.

Becoming an Affiliate is one of the most lucrative online money-making opportunities out there, and the breadth of products that can be promoted as an Affiliate is staggering. Affiliate marketing creates a cost-effective option for big and small companies alike to reach out and expose their products to a much larger audience of potential buyers. Instead of being limited to just one large webiste, companies of any size can now offer an Affiliate program and have their products promoted on hundreds or even thousands of individual sites, at no upfront cost to them.

Likewise, the Affiliate marketing industry also provides a virtually unlimited source for income for those who aggressively promote offers. Affiliates have been continually reaping the rewards of larger profits as the Affiliate marketing industry continues to grow in popularity. Affiliates can easily earn anywhere from 30-90% of the profits from each sale that comes from customers they refer, and with some Affiliate programs offering recurring monthly payouts for their products, the earning potential becomes even higher.

CPA marketing, in which Affiliates can earn money just for referring traffic and having visitors do as little as fill out a short form, without even making a purchase, is the latest hot trend in Affiliate marketing, and promises to keep the industry highly profitable and exciting for many years to come.

Unlike other businesses, there are no specific criteria for becoming an Affiliate, other than a commitment to work hard and some knowledge of Internet Marketing and how to go about researching and promoting the best offers for maximum profitability.
